The U.S. Men’s National Team heads into the 2016 Copa America Centenario in an extremely difficult group, but will firmly believe that they can make it to the knockout stages. With two shutout victories in friendly matches heading into this tournament, expectations are slowly rising for the Stars and Stripes. Here are five reasons why the USMNT will make it out of Group A and into the next round.

Colombia's Recent Form — Colombia has allowed opponents to score in their last five games and has not looked anything like the team from the 2014 World Cup.

USMNT Defense — The USMNT have held their last two opponents scoreless and seem to finally have found a rhythm.

Gyasi Zardes Form — Zardes is on fire for both club and country right now, and his sheer athleticism is going to cause nightmares for opponents. If he can get his first touch down, Zardes could be one of the best players on the team.

Strong Bench — Whether it's Pulisic, Wood or Nagbe, every player who has come off the bench for the USMNT has made an impact. That should continue throughout this tournament, as the USMNT has one of the strongest teams they have fielded in a while.

Familiar With Costa Rica — The Ticos blanked USA the last time these two teams met, but, like always, this is a game that should come down to the wire.
