Three must watch international soccer games Saturday

International soccer action is heating up on multiple continents this weekend

Saturday’s international soccer action is packed with can’t-miss matchups featuring elite talent and plenty of drama. From European heavyweights clashing in the Nations League to a fiery South American showdown, these games are set to deliver excitement, storylines, and crucial points in their respective competitions. With so much at stake, football fans won’t want to miss these battles that could shape the road to international glory.

Germany hosts Bosnia with a star-studded squad, the Netherlands face a resilient Hungary side, and Uruguay squares off against Colombia in a must-watch CONMEBOL clash. From tactical masterclasses to standout individual performances, these fixtures promise something for every football fan.

Let’s dive into three of the most compelling games to look forward to this Saturday.

Germany – Bosnia & Herzegovina

Four-time World Cup champions Germany take on Bosnia on Saturday. There are plenty of top talents on show in the German side including superstars Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz.

It’ll be interesting to see which midfielders that manager Julian Naglesmann picks.  Bayern duo Aleksandar Pavlović and Joshua Kimmich are obvious choices, however both Angelo Stiller and Robert Andrich have been in good form for Stuttgart and Leverkusen respectively.

At the back, Germany have a few monstrous defenders in Rüdiger, Slotterbeck and Tah helping them to only concede 3 goals in the 4 games played.

For Bosnia, the experienced striker Edin Džeko scored the last time these two sides played each other in Bosnia’s 2-1 loss. It could be a Stuttgart striker battle between Ermedin Demirović for Bosnia and Dennis Undav for Germany.

Netherlands – Hungary

Another game in this group of the Nation’s League is Hungary travelling to Netherlands. The last time these two faced each other it was a 1-1 draw. Roland Sallai and Denzel Dumfries scored the goals and Netherlands captain Virgil Van Dijk was also sent off.

Netherlands are the favourites for this game even though they haven’t performed well in the group so far with only 5 points from a record of 1W, 2D, 1L. Netherlands’ squad is stacked with players in the top 5 leagues. Watch out for AC Milan’s Tijjani Reijnders. The Milan central midfielder has been a standout player for Milan with huge performances in recent weeks. Reijnders was the best player on the pitch in a 3-1 win away against European Champions Real Madrid.

Uruguay – Colombia

Moving across to South America there’s a big match up between Uruguay and Colombia. Uruguay are without a win in 9 games with their last win coming in a 1-0 victory against USA.

Federico Valverde is Uruguay’s main man in midfield and really steps up to lead his compatriots. Darwin Núñez is Uruguay’s main striker now Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavan have retired. But Luciano Rodríguez is on the rise and if Núñez can’t lead the line, then Rodríguez might take his spot.

Colombia, on the other hand, are in much better form. They managed to get revenge for a loss against Argentina in the Copa America final with a 2-1 win against them recently. This was then followed by a shock 1-0 defeat to Bolivia and then they bounced back with a 4-0-win vs Chile. Before their Copa America final loss to Argentina, Colombia were unbeaten for 28 games straight.

The main 2 players to watch for Colombia are James Rodríguez and Luis Díaz as both have been consistent for their national team. It’s only a matter of time until both Jhon Durán and Yáser Asprilla also explode for the national team.
