Trade one of the top 5 all-purpose RB in the league, who was the Bears leading receiver last year, and give up a 3rd Round draft pick, to merely move up 14 slots in the 1st round of this 2012 draft class? The likes of unproven college drafts like CB Morris Claiborne, WR Justin Blackmon and DE Melvin Ingram aren’t as valuable as Matt Forte is to the Bears 2012 season. Bears aren’t in building mold. If OT Matt Kalil was still on the board, might actually be worth consideration. If Kalil is gone, OT Riley Reiff might be worth consideration, if Bucs added some picks to the Bears (and of course no picks to the Bucs).
A proven all-purpose RB Forte’s age is closer to a straight up 1st round pick, not merely moving up 14 spots.
If Kalil was on the board, I’d consider the 19th/5th pick swap, plus Bucs 2nd round.
Why would the Bucs need to give up a second rounder as well for Forte? That would be just plain dumb. They are not moving up in the draft, You have to give the Bucs a reason to trade out picks, especially if someone like Richardson is on the board. Alot of it will depend on who Chicago would be eyeing that high in the draft. In no way shape or form will Tampa give up their 1st, and 2nd for the right to acquire Forte and the 19th spot.
