Football is closer and closer to returning. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will kickoff training camp on Friday, and the first preseason game will follow shortly after on August 10.

Below is the Buccaneers preseason schedule:

August 10 – at Miami Dolphins 7:30 PM

August 17 – Tennessee Titans 7:30 PM

August 24 – New England Patriots 7:30 PM

August 29 – at Washington Redskins 7:30 PM

All games will take place on Friday and the time remains the same as well. The Buccaneers start off by traveling down to Miami to take on their in-state rivals. In Miami, the Buccaneers will be able to go up against the Dolphins and rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill. The in-state rivalries are always entertaining and this should give us a preliminary idea of where the two teams stand.

The Buccaneers will then play the Titans at home, which will be the first opportunity for Buccaneers fans to see a real game at Raymond James Stadium. The Titans clobbered the Buccaneers last year, and this game will feature running back Chris Johnson, who always excites.

Following the game against the Titans, the Buccaneers will take on the Patriots, who made it to the Super Bowl last season. Of course, that means quarterback Tom Brady will be in town. Also interesting will be the two joint practices that the Buccaneers and Patriots will hold before they play against each other.

The preseason ends on the road for the Buccaneers, as they travel to take on the Redskins. The two teams have always had a solid rivalry and now Robert Griffin III will be a part of it. The Heisman winner should live up to all the hype and entertain.

The regular season will follow shortly after. And then, football will officially be back.
