The Diamondbacks had a busy day on Tuesday. They signed catcher Henry Blanco early in the morning and then signed first baseman/outfielder Xavier Nady a few hours later. The Diamondbacks signed reliever Mike Hampton to a one-year contract on Wednesday. The contract is a Minor League deal that includes an invite to Spring Training. Hampton was signed by Arizona last August after coming back from rotator cuff surgery and he became a pretty nice weapon in the bullpen to close out the season. [...]

With only minutes to spare to the midnight deadline, the Diamondbacks and Zach Duke agreed to a one-year, $3.5 million deal. The deal also includes a mutual option for a second year.
