The Toronto Raptors Have Acquired Kyle Lowry After Losing Nash Sweepstakes
After taking a devastating blow by losing the Steve Nash sweepstakes, Bryan Colangelo has responded by bringing Houston Rockets point guard Kyle Lowry to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for a future draft pick, likely the 2013 first round pick and Gary Forbes
Lowry has been shopped around ever since he got into an argument with the Rockets front office.
This is great news for the Toronto Raptors. They get a legitemate starting point guard for the future who can create offence for himself and others. Lowry is only 26 years old and has a great contract, and has time to grow as a player. Lowry is locked up for two more years and the Raptors will hopefully get him to sign an extention.
This could mean the end of the Jose Calderon era for Toronto, or it could mean the end of Jerryd Bayless. We’ll see what happens.
Full details will be updated when available.
