After breaking Dan Marino‘s single-season passing record, Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints is the obvious choice for MVP in this division. He may have lost a few weapons on offense, but when healthy–Brees is one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL and is always capable of posting monster numbers each week.
Cam Newton won Offensive Rookie of the Year last season. Which NFC South Rookie has the best chance to win the award in 2012?
Luke Kuechly is one of a few rookies that has a chance to make a big impact right away during the 2012 season. The Carolina Panthers were in need of help at the linebacker position and it wouldn’t be a surprise if Kuechly emerged into a Pro Bowler during his rookie season.
The Saints and Atlanta Falcons reached the postseason in 2011. How many does the NFC South have in the playoffs this year?
This division will most likely see two teams represent the NFC once again in the postseason–and there’s a good chance that will be the case once again in 2012. Both of these teams have enough talent on offense to carry their team to the playoffs once again.
