Arkansas Razorbacks QB Tyler Wilson Out For Saturday’s Game Against Alabama Crimson Tide

The Arkansas Razorbacks entered the 2012 season with hopes of competing for a National Championship as one of the top teams in the SEC. Unfortunately, any chance of the Razorbacks competing for a National Title was lost in Week 2 after falling to the University of Louisiana Monroe 34-31 in overtime and now—it appears they’ll be playing without starting quarterback Tyler Wilson for Week 3.

Wilson has been ruled out for Saturday’s big game against the Alabama Crimson Tide after suffering a head injury last week against Louisiana Monroe—which is the last thing Arkansas wanted to hear. There was plenty of hype surrounding this key SEC matchup between the Razorbacks and Crimson Tide considering this could have been a top-10 matchup, but that obviously is no longer the case as Arkansas recorded the second-biggest dropout from the AP Top 25 in history after going from No. 8 to unranked.

Alabama’s defense has been phenomenal over the first two games of the regular season and will have the upper advantage against an Arkansas team that will be forced to use either Brandon Allen or Brandon Mitchell at quarterback. It’s crazy to see how much Arkansas’ season has turned around in just a matter of two weeks and it has to be frustrating to see the impact since Wilson’s head injury last week—but there’s nothing they can do about it now.

As much as the Razor Backs and their fans don’t want to hear it—this team looks like they’re heading towards a 1-2 record on the season.
