When it comes to some of the top offensive lineman in the 2013 NFL Draft, it’s safe to say D.J. Fluker ranks up there with the rest of them as he’s seen his draft stock quickly rise over the last couple of weeks. This year’s draft class is filled with plenty of talented offensive lineman that could be selected in the first round and with the way things look as of now–there’s no reason why that shouldn’t be the case for Fluker.
There are plenty of teams in need of help on the offensive line and it wouldn’t be a surprise if Fluker found himself selected in the mid-to-late first round. Fluker’s size gives him great power compared to some of the other offensive lineman from this year’s draft class and is extremely effective as a run blocker.
In fact, with the amount of potential shown at Alabama, don’t be surprised if Fluker ends up earning a starting role as a right tackler during his rookie season. As long as he can keep his head on straight and focus on football, Fluker seems like one of those players who is just going to get better with more experience.
If he’s available in the middle of the first round–don’t be surprised if numerous teams try to select him as quickly as possible as they hope to acquire one of the top offensive lineman from this year’s draft class in Fluker.
