Australian Field Hockey Player Dies After Being Bitten By Venomous Snake, Then Going For Run
In one of the more bizarre stories from the sports world, a 26-year-old field hockey player died after he was bitten by a venomous snake while out for a run. What’s even more crazy is Karl Berry continued his run after he was bitten–only to collapse 1.2 miles later. Hopefully, this sheds a light to those who come across snakes in the future and how they should just be left alone instead of picking it up since you never know whether it’s venomous or not.

2013 NFL Draft: Ezekiel Ansah’s Mom Was Hoping Utah Would Draft Her Son
No, that is not a typo–the mom of Ansah was hoping her son would remain in the same state he attended school when it comes to playing in the NFL. Of course, the only problem is Utah doesn’t have a professional football team.
Oh well–let’s hope Ansah’s mom is alright with the Detroit Lions selecting him instead.
