Name: E.J. Manuel
Team: Buffalo Bills
Position: Quarterback
Years Pro: Rookie
Draft stock: (Stagnant) Due to the Bills’ offense sputtering in recent seasons, no one is really buying into Manuel this season. In fact, the rookie quarterback might not even be the Bills’ Week 1 starter, so his draft stock is pretty low as of now.
2012 fantasy impact: Manuel dazzled at the collegiate level, yet he definitely flew under the radar. Most NFL fans didn’t even know who he was prior to this April, so it’s going to be interesting to see the rookie quarterback takes to the Buffalo media. Bills fans have been dying for a top-performer under center, but will they get impatient if Manuel doesn’t work out right away?
Best-case scenario: A natural-born leader, Manuel follows the path of Robert Griffin III and Andrew Luck with a rookie campaign full of success. Manuel’s dual-threat game translates well to the Bills’ fast-paced offense.
Worst-case scenario: Kevin Kolb emerges as a top-notch quarterback and Manuel is forced to hold the clipboard this season. Manuel’s rookie year was full of missed opportunities and interceptions.
Where you should draft him: Manuel probably isn’t even worthy of a draft pick in your 2013 fantasy football draft, but if you’re feeling brave then feel free to snag him in one of the later rounds.
