Name: Bryce Brown
Team: Philadelphia Eagles
Position: Running Back
Years Pro: 1
Draft stock: (Rising) The Philadelphia fans are excited about the Eagles’ new offense and Brown is a big reason why. In just his rookie season, Brown was exceptional with 564 rushing yards and even rushed for an average of 4.9 yards per carry. The fantasy football buzz is growing for Brown as Chip Kelly‘s offense calls for a ton of running.
2012 fantasy impact: If you were to pinpoint Brown’s lone weakness, it would be his erratic fumbling habit in 2012. Despite starting a mere four games, Brown managed to cough the ball up four times. Even still, the Eagles liked what they saw out of their rookie running back and are hoping that he can improve upon his first year in Philly.
Best-case scenario: LeSean McCoy can handle Kelly’s run-heavy offense by himself, which means that Brown is required to field most of the running plays. Brown evolves as fantasy football gold in just his second season.
Worst-case scenario: Due to the Eagles’ poor defense, Brown winds up in pass-protection schemes more than often as Philly is forced to come from behind via the pass.
Where you should draft him: Brown is a bit of a wild card this year. Until we know exactly how Kelly’s offense is going to be split, you’ll be taking a risk selecting Brown. However, keep an eye on this Eagles’ running back come the 10th round of your draft.
