If I was running the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tim Tebow would have already been brought in for at least a work out. All along, the Jaguars’ fan base has been teased with the idea of bringing Tebow in, who is an absolute legend in Jacksonville dating back to his high school and collegiate days with the Florida Gators. Even still, Jags owner Shadid Khan is apparently content with his team mustering a mere 11 points in two games.
Khan better start listening to the Tebow fans of the world, because they are starting to get louder.
On Monday, a “Tim Tebow Rally” was held at Everbank Field Stadium at exactly 3:16 PM ET. This was supposed to be some gigantic event that would last for over three hours, but the turnout was disappointing to say the least. Even with only a few fans showing up to the protest, this unveils a larger issue for the 0-2 Jaguars and their reluctant front office.
How long are the Jags going to sit idly by with Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne under center? This team is headed nowhere, so why not experiment with the hometown hero en route to “earning” the first pick of the 2014 NFL Draft? That’s the question that no one in Jacksonville has the answer to.
However, maybe a few rallies like this one can somehow bring attention to a Khan and his pompous cohorts.
