The Atlanta Falcons aren’t off to a terrible start to the 2013 NFL season, but they haven’t set the woods on fire thus far yet, either. Now at 1-1 with a road game against the undefeated Miami Dolphins looming, Atlanta is preparing for temporary life without Steven Jackson, who will miss the next two to four weeks with a thigh injury
The Falcons survived their Week 2 contest against the St. Louis Rams without Jackson, but their offense was extremely one-dimensional after he left the game. That likely won’t change much during his extended absence, but Jacquizz Rodgers fantasy owners should benefit in the meantime.
Now Rodgers didn’t do much against the Rams, but he should be utilized a lot more in the passing game while Jackson is out. That probably won’t equal a bunch of wins for the Falcons, but it could help a few struggling fantasy owners through the next month. If you need help at running back, pick up Rodgers quickly and scarf up as many point out of him as you can. If you’re a Falcons fan, life is about to get tough for your favorite team.
