Need help with your fantasy football team because of injury or under-achieving stars? Here are a few sleepers that are worth a look in Week 3:
Alex Smith has a great matchup in Week 3 against an Philadelphia Eagles defense that has given up 748 yards and five touchdowns through the air this year. Smith could be in for a big day, so if you need help at quarterback this week, he’s by far your best option.
Aaron Dobson received 10 targets from Tom Brady in Week 2 and with Danny Amendola still out and Rob Gronkowski likely to miss more time as well, Dobson is going to get more passes from Brady by default. The Bucs gave up over 300 yards to Drew Brees last week, so Dobson could be in for a big game on Sunday.
Brandon Jacobs didn’t set the woods on fire in his first game back with the New York Giants, but he’s the starter at this point because of David Wilson‘s incompetence to handle the job. Against a Panthers defense that was trampled by the Bills’ running game in Week 2, Jacobs is a definitely a sleeper.
Robert Turbin did well against the San Francisco 49ers while giving Marshawn Lynch breathers throughout the game. Against the pitiful Jacksonville Jaguars, the Seattle Seahawks are likely to put in the backups and run the ball a ton in the second half, which means Turbin could score a lot of points for fantasy owners.
Kenny Britt is officially in the Tennessee Titans‘ doghouse and the San Diego Chargers have been very kind to opposing receivers this year, so Kendall Wright could be in for a big day in Week 3. Definitely give him a look if you need receiver help this week.
