Watch Gold Medalist Hurdler Horrifically Snap Arm In What Doctors Call a “Bone Explosion”

Sally Pearson, the reigning Olympic Gold Medalist in the 100-meter hurdles, suffered a devastating injury at the Rome Diamond League event on June 4. The 28-year-old Australian feared the injury was so bad that they would have to amputate her arm. Pearson should make a full recovery, but will miss August’s World Championships in Beijing.
