McQuaid in the fold for three more years

Through bruising play and the ability to make the smart, quick hit, Prince Edward Island’s own Adam McQuaid earned himself a new contract with the Bruins.
The 24-year-old defenseman played well in his first full season in the NHL, picking up 15 points in 67 games in the regular season, along with a plus/minus of 30 that had him among the league’s leaders.
McQuaid kept it up on the Bruins’ run to the Stanley Cup, usually playing alongside the now-departed Tomas Kaberle. With the rest of the defensive corps in line for a return, look for McQuaid to play alongside newcomer Joe Corvo, at least to start the season.
Next in line for a new deal, as the popular thinking goes, is everyone’s favorite restricted free agent, left wing Brad Marchand.
