Round 7 (224): OLB Nathan Stupar, Penn State

At this point, the Giants just need to add players to create competition at the perceived weak points of their defense.

The linebackers were hurt when Jonathan Goff tore his ACL last season, and even though he is a free agent the Giants will do their best to re-sign him, so if he comes back healthy he immediately makes that group better.

The Giants have a lot of young talent at linebacker, but that doesn't mean they won't bring in someone else to make training camp more interesting.

Nathan Stupar was a solid player for Penn State, starting the previous two seasons at outside linebacker. If the Giants trade Osi Umenyiora, they would likely move Mathias Kiwanuka back to defensive end, creating an opening at the strong outside linebacker position.

The job would most likely go to Jacquian Williams, but that doesn't mean the Giants won't keep their options open.
